    You can now get verified on forum.

    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

    Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

    You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

    The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    OK, so it’s not really news that there’s been a lot of threadjacking lately. Hey, we all like to debate. It happens. But sometimes people don’t bother posting on the original topic, because it’ll just get lost in the off-topic banter.

    So, what I’m hoping is, if it looks like the thread is drifting with a couple of people intent on discussing a topic having nothing to do with the original, then someone in the thread can just ask if they could take it to the “hijack” thread. And the hope is, the members discussing the off topic(s) will be kind enough to do so, or at the least, halt it in that particular thread.

    With this thread here, members can just go at it for as long as they like and no one should care. It may work out. It may flop. But at least it was worth a try.

    theres the "off topic" and "random thoughts thread" that i occasionally follow, but they arent dedicated to being an "overflow" outlet from other threads, as such.
    also i believe somtimes threads are de-railed purposely, for ulterior motives, imo

    then what happens is a post reminds someone of something different that happens to be interesting and off the new topic goes.....

    i thought off topic and random thoughts threads were for stuff that didn't qualify for a thread of it's own. This is the only one i have noticed that serves the purpose of rerouting a hijacking in progress. A good example for using this would be the Members that passed away thread. jus sayin

    That's pretty much how I've used off-topic. For things I considered "worth mentioning" but not worth starting a new thread for. And I can't really see anyone saying, "Hey you guys, take it to the Random Thoughts" thread.
